Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the pastry department at the F&B outlets and ensuring a consistently high standard of quality
  • Production and creative preparation of high-quality desserts, sweet treats, and pastry specialties
  • Production of ice cream, cakes, pies, chocolates, and other fine pastries
  • Developing seasonal dessert creations and helping to shape the culinary offerings
  • Responsibility for purchasing, receiving, warehousing, and demand-driven inventory management
  • Calculation of Formulas and Selling Prices, Taking Economic Factors into Account
  • Conducting the Monthly Inventory
  • Ensuring compliance with all hygiene and quality standards in accordance with HACCP

Skills:

  • Successful completion of vocational training as a pastry chef, confectioner, or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in the upscale hotel or restaurant industry
  • A strong sense of creativity and a passion for high-quality desserts and pastries
  • in-depth knowledge of dough preparation, as well as chocolate, sugar, and dessert creations
  • A structured, independent, and efficient work style, as well as a good understanding of HACCP guidelines and product inspection
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • A strong commitment to quality, as well as the ability to work well with others and reliability
