The Mutter Ey Café in Düsseldorf’s Andreasquartier is much more than just a restaurant. It is a place steeped in history, art, and social significance. We are looking for an entrepreneurial host (m/f/d) who will reposition and further develop the café as a financially successful art salon and vibrant gathering place.

Responsibilities:

Overall managerial responsibility for the financial, operational, and conceptual development of Mutter Ey Café
Development and implementation of innovative dining, event, and cultural concepts to attract new guest segments and tap into additional revenue potential
Responsibility for revenue, earnings, budget, cost of goods sold, personnel costs, and operational processes
Expansion of the dining offerings throughout the day—from breakfast to lunch and the café, to the wine bar and cultural evening events
Building and maintaining a network of artists, galleries, cultural institutions, and regional partners
Leadership, motivation, and team development, as well as establishing an authentic culture of hospitality

Skills:

An entrepreneurial host with a vision to leave a lasting mark on a special place and develop it successfully from a business perspective
Several years of experience with responsibility for results in the restaurant, hotel, event, or cultural hospitality industries, or in the development of hospitality concepts
a keen sense of how to combine hospitality, cost-effectiveness, culture, and exceptional guest experiences
Creativity and innovative thinking in the development of new formats, events, and offerings to attract new target audiences
A solid understanding of business management, as well as experience in managing revenue, costs, and key operating metrics
Leadership skills, strong decision-making abilities, and the ability to inspire and develop employees
Strong communication skills and a passion for building lasting networks with partners in the arts, culture, and business
A passion for hospitality and the motivation to successfully position Mutter Ey Café as a vibrant art salon and a gathering place that fosters a sense of identity in Düsseldorf
