Living room

Encounters in an extraordinary atmosphere

The spacious lobby of The Wellem Hotel with its grand staircases is more than just a reception area. It serves guests of the hotel, residents of the residences and day guests as a place to meet and enjoy themselves. In addition to historical architectural gems with their striking staircases, columns, reliefs, stonemasonry and stucco work, contemporary works by internationally renowned artists can be admired here in a changing permanent exhibition.

Rituals of lived hospitality

The sounds that the pianist regularly elicits from the Steinway alone, combined with the extraordinary architectural opulence, create an indescribable atmosphere that leaves no one untouched. In the lounge area, you can settle down in cozy velvet armchairs and browse through the books in the small library. At 5 pm it’s then “It’s tea time!” Homemade pastries and sandwiches are served with selected teas from all over the world.

Towards evening, The Wellem Bar opens in Düsseldorf’s living room with classic cocktails, champagne and rare spirits. It is the starting point for interesting conversations that have led to one or two long-lasting acquaintances. For public and private events, Düsseldorf’s living room shows its particularly festive side. The gallery with its numerous niches can also be used for musical performances, social events or art events.
